The National Association of Youth and Community Education Officers was formed in 1941 and is the only professional body providing services dedicated to managers* at all levels in youth and community education and related services.
In addition, through special arrangements, NAYCEO "full members" are also entitled to a full range of casework and trade union support.
Membership is open to managers* who work in local government, the voluntary or independent sectors or who are self employed, who also hold an appropriate qualification.
*The term manager in youth and community education includes posts with titles ranging from officer, advisor, organiser, manager, head of service, education officer etc.

‘Going Green at Work’, a national TUC Conference on organising for greener workplaces which is taking place on Monday, 15 March.
The Conference will include a report-back and evaluation of the TUC’s two-year UMF-funded Greenworkplaces Project, in which the NUT has been taking part. Delegates will be able to hear about the progress the NUT and staff union Unite have made in making the Union more environmentally friendly.
Also featuring at the Conference will be the joint-union Climate Solidarity project which the NUT set up with UCU, PCS, CWU and the environmental charity COIN. (Please see www.climatesolidarity.org.uk for more information).
The event includes keynote speakers from the TUC and Government departments DECC and BIS, as well as expert-led workshops on:

Climate Solidarity - mobilising union members at work, at home and in their local communities.
